QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE
1)Three pipes A, B and C can fill a tank in 6 hours. After working together for 2 hours, C is closed and A and B can fill the remaning part in 7 hours. Find the number of hours taken by C alone to fill the tank .

2) Two pipes A and B together can fill a cistern in 4 hours. Had they been opened separately, then B would have taken 6 hours more than A to fill cistern. How much time will be taken by A to fill the cistern separately?

3) A booster pump can be used for filling as well as for emptying a tank. The capacity of the tank is 2400 m3. The emptying of the tank is 10 m3 per minute higher than its filling capacity and the pump needs 8 minutes lesser to empty the tank than it needs to fill it. What is the filling capacity of the pump?

4) 13 buckets of water fill a tank when the capacity of each bucket is 51 litres. How many buckets will be needed to fill the same tank, if the capacity of each bucket is 17 litres?

5)  How many 3 digit numbers can be formed from the digits 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 9 which are divisible by 5 and none of the digits is repeated?

6) A telegraph has 10 arms and each arm can take 5 distinct positions (including position of the rest). How many signals can be made by the telegraph?

8)The length of the bridge, which a train 130 metres long and travelling at 45 km/hr can cross in 30 seconds, is:

9)The length of a train and that of a platform are equal. If with a speed of 90 k/hr, the train crosses the platform in one minute, then the length of the train (in meters) is:

10)A train crosses a platform of 120 m in 15 sec, same train crosses another platform of length 180 m in 18 sec. then find the length of the train?

11)The two trains of lengths 400 m, 600 m respectively, running at same directions. The faster train can cross the slower train in 180 sec, the speed of the slower train is 48 km. then find the speed of the faster train?

12) 1.On dividing a number by 56, we get 29 as remainder. On dividing the same number by 8, what will be the remainder ?

13) Find the last digit in the 745304000

14) What is the least number which when divided by 5, 6, 7 and 8 leaves a remainder 3, but when divided by 9 leaves no remainder?

15) The HCF of two numbers is 23 and the other two factors of their LCM are 13 and 14. What is the largest number?
